Restore and Import Privileges

A user who has the Restore privilege:

• Cannot create a new directory using the Import command if (s)he does not have the CopyDIR privilege. A warning is displayed in the Restore dialog box. Neither the directory nor the files and sequences of the directory are restored.

• Can create new files using the Restore command even if (s)he does not have the corresponding Create privilege.

• Can overwrite existing files even if (she) does not have the corresponding Delete privileges.

• Can overwrite samples that have already been processed even if (s)he does not have the DeleteFinishedSamples privilege. This may serve, e.g., to undo incorrect changes.

• Spectra Libraries (Please note: In this case, the user needs the DeleteLIB privilege to overwrite existing libraries files)

A user who has the ImportPeakNetData privilege:

• Can create a new sequence by importing PeakNet data even if (s)he has neither the CopySEQ nor the CreateSEQ privilege.

• Cannot import a PeakNet quantification method if (s)he does not have the CreateQNT privilege. This also applies when (s)he wants to import the method together with a sequence. In this case, the sequence is imported without the method.

• Cannot import a PeakNet program if (s)he does not have the CreatePGM privilege. This also applies when (s)he wants to import the program together with a sequence. In this case, the sequence is imported without the program.

• Cannot overwrite an existing sequence by importing a PeakNet sequence if (s)he does not have the DeleteSEQ privilege.

A user who has the ImportAIA privilege:

• Can create a new sequence by importing AIA data even if (s)he has neither the CopySEQ nor the CreateSEQ privilege but

• Cannot overwrite an existing sequence if (s)he does not have the DeleteSEQ privilege.

A user who has the ImportChemStationData privilege:

• Can create a new sequence even if (s)he has neither the CopySEQ nor the CreateSEQ privilege.

• Can import a method together with a sequence even if (s)he does not have the CreateQNT privilege.

• Cannot import a method alone if (s)he does not have the CreateQNT privilege.

• Cannot overwrite an existing sequence if (s)he does not have the DeleteSEQ privilege.
